Hi ~ my name is Nausicaa De Souza and I'm a licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and trained herbalist. My jurney into natural medicine started at a very young age while accompaning my grandma at the ​herbal pharmacies and apothecaries in my native hometown of Bucharest, Romania.
I've always wanted to help others and make a difference, so naturaly I felt drawn to the field of medicine very early on. It wasn't until I was in my late teen years, when an unexpected illness marked the turning point in my quest to becoming an allopathic physician. From that moment on I became an avid seeker of all things related to natural healing. Was though the course of illness that I encountered the ancient healing art of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
It was love at first sight and it continues to be, as my knowledge and understanding of the medicine has deepen with time and the ability to treat a large variety of patients from all walks of life.
I feel imensely fortunate to be able to share this gift with others and be able to able to assist patients in attaing levels of heath, wellness and wellbeing far exciding anything that conventional medicine could ever offer them. I firmly believe that the principles of Chinese Medicine can be applied in all areas of one's life to enrich and bring balance to the individual.
My practice, Blue Empress Herbs and Acupuncture is dedicated to the health and well being of women and children's in particular, but also anyone who is interested in achiving and triving in an ultimate state of vibrant health, well being, happiness and joy. I've had succesfully treated psycho-emotional problems such as stress, depression, panic attacks, anxiety and trauma, as well as many internal medicine complains ranging from diabetes, HBP, endocrine imbalances, menopause, infertility and pain management. My focus has been on pediatrics, endocrinology, dermatology, gynecology and anti-aging. I do combine several styles of acupuncture including Esoteric Acupuncture, Balance Method, Master Tung, Japanese Style and traditional TCM, to name a few.
As an herbalist I believe that each individual is unique in their needs, constitution and lifestyle, hence creating custom made herbal formulas for my patients is been my passion for the last 15 years of working as a herbalist. A big part of my work has been to bring herbal medicinals to the forefront of natural healing as well as educate the public on the safe use of herbs. I regard herbal medicine as highly superior form of healing, along with proper diet and life style.
Along with acupuncture I offer my clients life style coaching, chinese nutrition, somatic therapy and body work, vibrational healing and traditional Chinese medicine herbal consultations. Further more, the path of the medicine had led me to study Chinese Methaphysics Arts such as Classical Feng Shui, Primordial Qi Gong, Six Healing Sounds Meditation, all which I love sharing with my clients and the community at large in private or small group classes.
